The day after …

the OOPSLA was quiet and cold. All the participants have left the city. Well, almost all of them. I drove Stephan to LAX and after he got through the security checks I drove back as he left into the depth of Los Angeles Int'l Airport where I would be no help, nor would they allow me inside.

When I picked up >>Dirk at the Hotel I had the pleasure to have a little chat about what wikis are and where they are going with James Noble. Actually, I didn't know until right after we left and Dirk told me.

LaJolla It turned out that most of the food Dirk had during OOPSLA was heavy stuff, so I had the honour to point him to that great Sushi place Jason took us two days before. Unfortunately, or maybe not, we were too late for happy hour, but still, the sushi was excellent and this time, the exact right amount for both of us. We had already moved downtown into another hotel, shortly checked the free internet access and decided to take a look at >>La Jolla. Its a nice place to go out. Not as interesting as >>Ocean Side where we went with Jason the day before with all the Surfers around.

In the meantime we have arrived in Menlo Park after a long and boring ride up the 101. Except for that one stop at a beach with strong waves and some dolphins, if I am not wrong. The night we stayed at Dirks place which was so beautiful in the morning. Sun, the garden with apple and orange trees, squirrels and of course the quiet …
